We Tried Tone Pro! Here's our first impression.

Well, at least our artist did! You can see the result on this amazing paint job on the Lion below, and here are his thoughts:
The new Warhammer Tone Pro paint range was quite intriguing to me, but after giving the demo pack a spin, I’m impressed the step up in quality.

First thing to get out of the way: The pot format is the same as the regular range, so if you like working without a palette or are used to the usual Games Workshop pots, it's still fine, but for a more ''high end'' range we would have welcomed an upgrade.

As for the paint itself. the coverage is definitely smoother than the regular “base” paints AND it flows way better whether straight out of the pot or
diluted for highlights, so a big plus.

The Shading Medium fulfills its purpose, the application is great and the result smooth. Be aware though: the dilution ratio is high. Expect at least a ratio of 4 medium parts for 1 paint part (4:1) for a pigmented shade.

A few colours did not feel as premium as the others and stayed hard to apply and with no or bad coverage but the issue is few and far between
(ex: I encountered 1 out of 17 colours used with this problem in the demo pack)
Overall, great product, and an awesome formula to increase your painting level.
